Lollibomb Beauty Vegan Whipped Body Frosting

This product takes me back to when I was a junior in high school getting into my new state of eating habit- being a vegetarian. I researched and read that even our body products contain animal parts. Yuck! Wouldn't want to spread cow brains on myself. That's just icky. I've always supported the indie and handmade. I just thought that was plain cool and artsy. I found Luca through a MySpace post and she was promoting her new body products company, when it was once upon a time called Lushbox. I saw on her website some pretty neat body moisturizers. I love body moisturizers. They came in funky scents like Deep Fried Ice Cream and Sugar Rush. I ordered the Sugar Rush one to see if I'll smell like candy. Luca was very friendly and helpful. She even included a note of thanks written by herself along with scrumptious goodies. The moisturizer itself has got to be the best moisturizer I've ever used! It's very thick and fluffy and definitely not liquidy, unlike other moisturizers that say they're a frosting, but it's just a liquid mess. It really is like spreading Betty Crocker frosting on your body with no stickiness. The scent is amazing! I smelled so sweet and sugary and definitely not suffocating. Moisturization lasted all and I mean ALL day. I was as soft as a cute little baby. Not that "vanilla lavender" and nature theme I always see. All natural can be creative; it's so unique! The most important part of this product, along with the rest of her products is that it is vegan! Vegan body product makers aren't ashamed to show their ingredient list because they know what they put in it is something they themselves would want to rub on their bodies. She has this and other cool stuff only for pretty ladies like you, such as body washes, organic sugar scrubs, and mineral makeup! Go ahead, give Luca a chance and she'll prove to you the meaning of vegan.

Rimmel Cool Matte Mousse Foundation

You can find this at Wal-Mart, which is where I bought it in September of 2007. It is now March 2008 and this stuff got rancid pretty quick, only five months when usually, foundations last a year. The foundation itself is really good. Though it's claim is a matte face for 16 hours, that really didn't help. My face was a slimeball by the end of the day if I don't put powder on. It doesn't photograph well because I used this for my college yearbook photo and when I got my photo back, my face had a greyish appearance. Eww... it was the only foundation I had at the time! It does have a cooling feeling when you apply, but it goes away pretty fast. It's a sheer to medium coverage, pretty decent, in my opinion. The colors seem true, though some colors look too pink for some individuals. It's also very lightweight being that it is a mousse, it's supposed to be that way. This stuff lasted the whole day on me, but the 16 hour matte claim is a joke. The only thing that's true is the "no transfer" claim. This stuff really doesn't rub off and it seems to be the only foundation I've used that really says it doesn't transfer, though a lot of people say Revlon Colorstay doesn't budge, I can't say my opinions since I've never tried it. The ingredients aren't listed on the jar, which scares me because it may have ingredients they don't want anyone to know or read...? The texture is definitely a mousse, but a more liquidy type than creamy. The glass jar is unhygenic being that we have to dip our fingers in it, but when sharing with friends... That's a different story... The glass is pretty inconvenient, too, being that glass breaks easily. No, duh. When you open it, there's a cap to protect the mousse from getting the lid messy, and that's a good reason to keep that cap! So ladies, please, don't throw it away or it'll be the lid you'll end up using, not the jar. I wouldn't repurchase because of short life, not good for travel, and doesn't keep my face matte for 16 hours! But, if you want something that doesn't rub off and lasts long on the face, then this is for you.

A review on deodorant? What for? Well, Reader, maybe you were thinking of purchasing a new deodorant because the one you have now dries out your armpits. This deodorant is surprisingly good for being so inexpensive, $7.50. At first try, it was hard rubbing it into my armpits, but after some use, it was easy to spread.

The scent is so lovely, just like how a lilac should smell. It reminds me of spring. The scent stayed on my armpits all day and it really controlled my body odor. The best part was that there was absolutely no sweat! Right now, I just want to skip in a field of lilacs, if only I could. MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo

I remember I went with my sister to Bloomingdale's in SoHo and I really wanted to buy a MAC lipstick because they have a wide range of colors and they're all unique in their own little way. Ruby Woo blew me away with a wolf whistle. She was hot! Bright red in your face RED! She reminded me of swing dancing at a club in 1947. The MAC sales associate was very helpful and applied some on my lips along with the lip pencil in Cherry. I just wanted the lipstick. When I went to purchase, someone complemented on how the lipstick brightened my face! I didn't even start paying for it and I get complements. This lipstick is very matte, meaning absolutely NO shine, just tons of pigment, and it's dry. I wouldn't recommend lip balm underneath because it will break the matte and ruin the 40's look. Though I hear a lot of women saying it's incredibly dry, I don't think it's SO dry. You need well exfoliated lips with absolutely no flakes in order to wear this. What I do to help with the moisturization is after having my lips exfoliated (you can use an old toothbrush and use round circles) and before applying the lipstick, I lick my lips with a little saliva. Not slobbering my lips, just a few strokes, enough to keep it moist, and I apply the lipstick and it doesn't break the matte factor. It's a blue based red, great for cool tones; warm tones, I don't know, you won't get arrested if you wear this! It's a bright intense red that screams LIPS! Very popular color during the 40's and thank goodness MAC's bring back old fashioned glamour. A lipstick like this will never go out of style.

Evening Primrose Oil

A sultry little oil with its golden color and fresh smell, it's no wonder evening primrose oil is a top choice in my skin care. Facial oils are known to be the most moisturizing. After washing my face before I go to bed, I use this oil as a night treatment. I have very oily and acne prone skin with rosacea. Yes I know, the "Did your face get sunburned?" or "Every time I see you, your face is always red. Do you have a crush on me...? Grr... This is dumb. Evening primrose oil is known to help those with acne and rosacea. Though it doesn't permanently remove my rosacea, it controls it, leaving it to a light pink instead of red. It definitely does not clog my pores, in fact, it treats my acne very well, leaving the next day with smaller acne. It doesn't do anything to control oils, though. It's also known to help signs of aging, which is doing an incredible job on me. I'm only 18, but when I get to be 30, I'll have good skin. I already get complements on how good my skin looks. Shelf life isn't long, only six months. You must refrigerate this oil, or it will lose more shelf life. It is stored in an amber glass bottle for a reason: this particular oil is light sensitive and the glass container keeps the oil chill in the fridge. Kryolan Pre-Cut Synthetic Foam Sponges

Our dreadful memories of using a sponge that just can't blend. These triangular sponges are excellent for blending! You knew that was coming. It doesn't absorb the makeup a lot, being that it is a fine pore sponge, not gigantic pores that will swallow your makeup. Clean up is fast, just soap and water. The problem with this is that it turns yellow when washed and crumbles when dry at some point after a few uses and washes. This is non-latex, so it's okay for those who are allergic to latex. I know what you're saying: Thank goodness! I wouldn't repurchase because the blending is great, but the life of it is not. Kryolan Ultrafoundation

This is a cream foundation (I really hate it when they spell it creme, it's cream!!) that is used on film and photography. It covers medium to full and blends very well. Covers pimples very well and rosacea, but doesn't do anything for large pores. It works beautifully on well exfoliated skin; if your skin is scaly and not well exfoliated and moisturized, it'll accentuate every dry patch you own. Packaging isn't something you'd want to show off to your girlfriends, they'd freak. Ha ha, no, it's in a plastic pot with a screw on lid. It's not very hygenic, but it's intended for makeup artists who need a quick access to dip the sponge and brush instead of taking time to squeeze something. The makeup itself is pretty drying, but like I said, with well exfoliated and moisturized skin, it'll be all right. If you warm it up a little with a clean finger, swoosh it around until it gets to a softer constistency, then it'll be even easier to apply. This makeup is used by professional makeup artists to look good behind the camera for wedding pictures and movies. I wouldn't recommend it as an everyday thing because it's pretty heavy and it looks like you would be wearing too much makeup and it's made for film and photography to make your face flawless on the pictures. But, if you absolutely need something to cover every little sin you hate, then you need to know how to blend, blend, blend! The color choices are amazing, having a wide range of colors to match every color and tone. It doesn't come in girly names, but with names like 3W and NB1 to help the makeup artist remember a short code. They're also available in palettes, which you choose from light/medium and olive/dark tones and custom blend your shade and it's refillable.
