It doesn't absorb the makeup a lot, being that it is a fine pore sponge, not gigantic pores that will swallow your makeup. Clean up is fast, just soap and water. The problem with this is that it turns yellow when washed and crumbles when dry at some point after a few uses and washes. This is non-latex, so it's okay for those who are allergic to latex. I know what you're saying: Thank goodness! I wouldn't repurchase because the blending is great, but the life of it is not.
